Mobile workforce management startup Skedulo raises $28M

Mobile workforce management startup Skedulo Holdings Inc. today said it has raised $28 million in new funding to more than double its headcount across its four offices, including adding 60 new employees to its Australian offices.

The Series B round was led by M12 and includes existing investors Blackbird and Costanoa Ventures. As part of the deal Priya Saiprasad, Principal of M12, will join Skedulo’s board.

Founded in Australia in 2013, Skedulo offers a mobile workforce scheduling and management application that integrates with enterprise platforms. The company’s Mastermind intelligence engine, which powers its app, is said to automate and optimize the matching of available and qualified employees to customer needs assisting enterprises intelligently manage, schedule, dispatch and track resources in the field. Offering native support for Salesforce and ServiceNow, Skedulo offers an independent platform that connects to any system of record.

Moving forward, Skedulo plans to introduce new analytics features and increase the intelligence of the platform through additional machine learning capabilities along with adding support for more enterprise systems including human resource management, financial management, electronic health records and payroll systems.

“Since day one, Skedulo has been focused on helping companies overcome the significant challenges of managing their deskless workforce,” co-founder and Chief Executive Matt Fairhurst said in a statement. “This is an increasingly complex problem that impacts billions of mobile workers across millions of enterprises worldwide. It’s a problem that Skedulo is committed to addressing at scale.”

Including the new funding, Skedulo has raised $40.5 million to date. Its last round of funding, $9.2 million, was in November 2016.
