Kore.ai boosts enterprise generative AI development platform with new RAG and automation features

Kore.ai Inc., which offers an enterprise-grade development platform for generative artificial intelligence applications, today announced the latest update to its flagship Kore.ai Experience Optimization Platform.

The startup said release V11.0 expands the platform’s capabilities with new features that can help to drive more intelligent, AI-powered business interactions in use cases such as customer service, agent chats and enterprise search.

The company’s XO Platform is a popular choice for enterprises in need of customized AI applications such as chatbots and workflow tools. Its no-code capabilities mean companies of all sizes can create and deploy AI experiences in a safe and cost-effective way. Popular applications built on the Kore.ai platform include chatbots, product recommendation systems and virtual assistants.

The most attractive thing about XO is that it’s designed to be as intuitive as possible, enabling business users who lack technical skills to play around with popular large language models, without the need to understand complex workflows or logic. With its drag-and-drop interface, Kore.ai makes it simple for users to create a conversational chatbot and customize key aspects of its design, including prompts, messages and thought processes. The platform is collaborative too, supporting co-design workflows for teams of creators.

Kore.ai’s main focus is on the creation of chatbots that can be fine-tuned for an organization’s specific needs. It offers what it calls “domain-trained models” for various industries, including banking, healthcare and retail, and users can build upon these foundations to create chat agents and virtual assistants focused on more specific processes and tasks.

With the XO V11.0 release, Kore.ai says, it’s helping customers put their AI models to work 10 times faster than was previously possible, with new advanced automation features that accelerate the development of conversational chatbots.

The startup claims a number of “industry firsts” in the release, including a new, unified interface for its main integrated products, such as Automation AI, Contact Center AI, Agent AI and Search AI. The new release also offers what Kore.ai calls a “Multi-LLM Generative AI” builder that makes it possible to orchestrate the use of multiple large language models in a single application, including its own XO GPT model.

The XO GPT model suite is being updated too, with the company adding “lighter, faster and less expensive models” that have been fine-tuned for very specific conversational use cases.

With its advanced retrieval augmented generation or RAG capabilities, the XO platform makes it easier for companies to build AI apps that can tap into their own, proprietary datasets and knowledge bases to enhance their skillsets with greater context around their business operations.

The new release also supports specific AI functionalities such as outbound campaigns, with the addition of an agentless dialer that can enhance customer outreach via automated messages, collections and reminders. The platform also offers improved agent assistance, with the ability to coach human agents in real-time using guided instructions and playbooks.

Kore.ai is announcing the latest release of its platform just three months after closing on a hefty $150 million strategic growth round in January, suggesting it has wasted little time in putting that money to use.

“We have reimagined what it takes for our platform users to bring new AI-automated solutions to market faster and deliver value with speed, accuracy and cost,” said Kore.ai founder and Chief Executive Raj Koneru. “XO V11.0 will take the complexities and time out of building and managing AI and focus on putting it to work to drive value at scale.”
