WÜF, the world’s smartest dog collar

Ridogulous Labs, Inc. has introduced WÜF, claiming it as ‘The World’s Smartest Dog Collar.’ The collar aims to help dog owners train, track and learn more about their pet’s behavior even when they are out of the house. The collar features a microphone, GPS, accelerometer, Bluetooth, speaker, GSM, and vibration features to help pet owners humanely correct bad pet habits.

WÜF is waterproof/shockproof/bite-proof, and it comes with a companion app that lets owners do more with their pets. Get notifications when your dog shows unusual behavior such as barking a lot, whining, growling, or whimpering unexpectedly. The smart collar let’s you talk to your dog to calm him or her down, or just to chat with your pal. It seems the only thing missing from this system is a camera.

WÜF is currently on Kickstarter, Inc. raising $50,000 in funding. You can now pre-order your smart collar starting at $99.

The Photon Space

How important is natural life to a person’s well-being? This is the question the Photon Project aims to address with its Photon Space building, a house built entirely from glass. Though most would not even consider living in a home with glass walls, roof and door, the benefits could change minds, as it utilizes smart glass that goes opaque to keep homeowners’ lives private.

The team behind the Photon Project believes that maximizing a person’s exposure to natural light can have positive effects on their energy levels, sleep patterns, and overall health. Though the building is made out of glass, inhabitants need not worry about their privacy or the temperature getting too hot, as the clear glass can turn opaque by using a smartphone app. The glass also has a special coating that partially blocks infrared rays and fully blocks UV rays to prevent any harmful effects to the inhabitants.

“After five years of research and technological advances in the glass systems we work with, we are very excited to be able to manufacture this revolutionary suite,” explains Charlie Sharman, Managing Director of The Photon Project. “As a group of experts in the glass and architecture industry, we are very passionate about bringing its benefits to the market.”

Bring home the sun with Sunn Light

Before overtime and extended office hours, people got up at the break of dawn and ended their day when the sun sets. Those were simpler times and many believe that following the rhythm of the sun can reap health benefits, much like what the Project Photon has in mind. If you don’t fancy living in a glass house, then you might want to consider bringing home the sun with Sunn Light.

Sunn Light is a smart LED light fixture that continuously changes its color throughout the day to match the rhythm of the sun. You can use it as an alarm that wakes you up by gradually getting brighter, use it to prepare for a trip in a country with a different time zone by setting the Sunn Light to rise and set according to a specific time zone, and at night just shake your smartphone with the Sunn Light app to activate Moon Glow, a feature that allows you to see where you’re going without having to deal with bright lights that could disrupt your sleep cycle.

Sunn Light is currently on Kickstarter and it is available in Sunn, the 19-inch version, and Sunn Plus, the 24-inch version.
