Smart World Events we’re watching in September 2015

If you missed the Internet of Things (IoT) events in August, don’t fret, as more events are coming your way. From tradeshows in Europe to conferences in the U.S. and even in Asia, there’s plenty of new and exciting product announcements, demonstrations and panel presentations upon us.

As an extension of SiliconANGLE’s daily coverage of Smart World developments, we’re now including a monthly calendar of worthy events. Here’s what we’re watching for the month of September:

IFA 2015

When: September 4-9, 2015

Where: Berlin ExpoCenter City, Messedamm 22, D-14055 Berlin, Germany

What it is: IFA is one of the world’s largest and leading tradeshows for consumer electronics and appliances and where some big name brands choose to launch their flagship devices or showcase prototypes or soon-to-be available revolutionary products. Here, attendees can demo products to get a feel as to how they work and how easy they are to operate. The event can be quite overwhelming for some, so if you don’t want to get lost and be able to maximize your experience, you can download the IFA app here to keep you right on track.

Expo Internet LA 2015

When: September 9-12, 2015

Where: La Rural Buenos Aires – Argentina

What it is: The first Internet of Everything event in Latin America that features innovations on virtual reality, drones, gaming, neuro computing, technology art, smart homes, augmented reality and so much more. One of the keynote speakers at the event is Apple cofounder and chief scientist at Primary Data Steve Wozniak.

IoT Solutions World Congress

When: September 16-18, 2015

Where: Gran Via Venue Barcelona, Spain

What it is: An international event focused on IOT for vertical industries and will feature keynotes from top industry speakers, as well as workshops, networking, exhibitions and testbed demonstrations.

Industry of Things World 2015

When: September 21-22, 2015

Where: Berlin Congress Center – Berlin, Germany

What it is: The biggest Industrial Internet conference in Europe that will cover topics such as how the IoT will affect business models, how to effectively manage product lifecycle, how to secure operational technology and IoT applications, and more.

IoT Show Asia – Singapore

When: September 22-23, 2015

Where: Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, Singapore

What it is: The IoT Show will address the new business possibilities from IoT and contextual technology. It will explore new business models, facilitate new collaborations and partnerships, and generate new ideas and thinking. It will also focus on how to get prototypes out of the lab and into the market.

IoT Security

When: September 22-23, 2015

Where: Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel – Boston, MA

What it is: The first conference dedicated to the security issues faced by IoT. It will also feature the latest technology trends and innovations from cutting-edge vendors, startups and solution providers making up the future IoT ecosystem; keynotes from government representatives, industrial organizations NS service providers; Learning Labs and n Analyst Roundtable Breakfast; and more.

Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology 2015

When: September 23-25, 2015

Where: Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China

What it is: To cope with the growing demand and development trends of building technology and smart cities, the 2015 fair will focus on core themes currently in high popularity across China: building efficiency, intelligent cities and smart homes, providing a range of the industry-focused technologies and solutions in the areas of building and home automation, energy management system, generic cabling and data center, audio and video system, safety and security access control.

Nordic Digital Business Summit

When: September 24, 2015

Where: Kaapelitehdas,Tallberginkatu – Helsinki, Finland

What it is: The Nordic Digital Business Summit is a unique International conference and exhibition held in Helsinki, Finland, focusing on the Data Center and Digital Services sectors. NDBS 2015 promises to deliver an outstanding lineup of speakers, sponsors and exhibitors with a key focus on the IoT industry, which is growing exponentially and influencing consumers both personally and professionally.

When: September 29, 2015

What it is: The Internet of Things conference will bring startups, innovators, business managers and entrepreneurs together to share knowledge and best practices.

IoT6xChange Summit

When: September 29 – October 1, 2015

Where: The Fairmont Dallas – Dallas, Texas

What it is: The IoT6 xChange, produced by nGage Events and the Metroplex Technology Business Council, gathers together industry thought leaders to address many segments of IoT strategy, deployment, operation and success.
