How to watch the UEFA Champions League Final on Android, iOS, Roku, Chromecast, more

On Saturday, May 28, Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Final. This Spanish pairing is a repeat of the final in 2014 when Real Madrid eventually took victory 4 – 1 in extra time.

We look at how you can use FOX Soccer 2Go, Sling TV or PlayStation Vue to watch the final this weekend.

Live stream with FOX Soccer 2Go

The FOX Broadcasting Company has the English language rights to the UEFA Champions League in the U.S. If you are an avid soccer fan you will want to sign up for FOX’s standalone streaming service – FOX Soccer 2Go.

In addition to Saturday’s UEFA Champions League Final, you can also watch coverage of the Europa League, CONCACAF Champions League, Scottish Premier League, and more. FOX Soccer 2Go does not give you access to other FOX stations but does include a broad range of soccer and some rugby matches.

There are apps for both Android and iOS while you can also enjoy FOX Soccer 2Go on your PC, MAC, and via AirPlay on your Apple TV.

To enjoy the UEFA Champions League Final as well as subsequent finals you can sign up for a FOX Soccer 2Go subscription for $20 per month. You can also sign up for a year and pay $100, which works out to a discounted monthly rate of $8.33 per month.

Cord cutters rejoice

If you are looking for ways to legally watch the UEFA Champions League Final without a cable subscription, Mr. Cable Cutter, writing for CutCableToday, offers the following two solutions:

Sling TV

For $20 per month — with no contract — Sling TV subscribers have live access to a range of cable TV channels, including ESPN, AMC, TBS, A&E, TNT, and more. One of the channels that Sling TV offers in select areas is FOX, who will be airing the UEFA Champions League Final. Check out the Sling TV site see whether FOX is available in your area.

Alternatively, if you do not mind some Spanish commentary you can watch the final on ESPN Deportes, which Sling TV offers nationwide.

You can watch Sling TV on a variety of devices including your iPhone, iPad, Android devices, PC or Mac. You can also use a streaming media player, like Roku, Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick, Xbox One, Chromecast or Google Nexus Player (which was recently discontinued by Google).

If you are unsure about Sling TV, you can check it out for the UEFA Champions League Final by taking advantage of their 7-day free trial.

PlayStation Vue

Another alternate to stream the UEFA Champions League Final is PlayStation Vue, who offers the FOX Network. Unfortunately, you need to be based in Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York or Philadelphia to have access to the FOX Network’s live stream.

If you are not in one of these cities, you will still be able to access select content on-demand, but not the live stream of the final.

You can watch PlayStation Vue via your PS3, PS4, iPhone, iPad, or on your TV through a streaming media player, like Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick or Chromecast.

PlayStation Vue has a Slim package for $30 per month. You can also add on the Fox Soccer Plus standalone channel at an extra cost if you are a real fan. Vue also offers a 7-day free trial, so if you are in one of the cities mentioned above you can test it out for Saturday’s final.

Kickoff of the UEFA Champions League Final

The UEFA Champions League Final takes place on Saturday, May 28, at the neutral venue of  San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy. This weekend’s final marks the completion of the of 61st UEFA season with kickoff happening at 2:45 pm ET.

Will Real Madrid be victorious and take the title for the 11th time? Or will victory go to Atletico Madrid, who is playing in their third UEFA Champions League Final, but are yet to take the trophy home?
