Good Advice: “Do it Wrong Quickly”

Mike Moran was recently invited by IBM Denmark to speak, and in remarks to IBM on camera after his talk, he spoke a little bit to the title of his second book, Do It Wrong Quickly. The whole video is below, but the part I found most interesting is the first sixty seconds.

When it comes to social media marketing or even just executing a plan as a blogger to increase your audience, doing it wrong quickly is the one place where individuals or small organizations can beat the pants off a big organization. It’s also where large corporations that keep a close ear to the ground in their social media efforts can beat the competition – in all things Internet, your feedback and stats are almost instant. Adjusting quickly to criticism and flaws can make or break your efforts’ success.
