Update: Techcrunch is reporting a deal with Bing. I'm not surprised as one of the commenters suggests WA really is bad in terms of user experience and that would suggest that they are going for a licence model.

I’m big on WA – still haven’t had a chance to comb thru their API documentation like I want – it doesn’t read like a typical API, so there’s definitely a learning curve present there not found in typical web APIs.
