We’ve made some pretty good progress on the surgical rebuild of SiliconANGLE.
It turns out that our install is far too powerful to exist on the current instance that this blog currently resides. We’ve always had “solidwebs.net” set up as a testing/staging server for major changes on SiliconANGLE, and when Bluehost kicked us off, we figured we could simply re-direct the domain over here and continue unabated.
Unfortunately, when we tried to merge the databases, it completely borked, and hence this P2 theme to house our work while we get the real servers online.
As for the progress on that – we’ve turned up a new colo box that’s eventually destined to be our staging server. You can follow our progress by checking (http://siliconangle.net/ver2/).
We’re hung up on a couple configuration issues because, frankly, I haven’t done Linux administration in about 10 years. My old buddy @liveonmars (James Smith) has been helping me muddle through this while most of our IT guys enjoy VMWorld09.
We should have plenty of big news to announce (hopefully) once we get this whole thing up and running again. Have patience, please, and we’ll make it worth it.
