Another status update, folks. Buckle in.

So we had set up a development server while we waited on the paperwork to process on our desired production server, and given that this was an emergency move and that the production server we signed up for was tied to some paperwork on another, slower moving deal, we made the decision to try to turn the development server into a temporary production server.

Turns out that probably wasn’t the best decision. After tinkering around and getting MU+BP set up, it was clear the virtualization settings weren’t quite right for what we were trying to do, and we were forced to abandon installation until they’re rectified at about 4AM last night.

Fortunately, at this point, the solution we’ve all been trying to get our hands on for the last month was finally turned up. Right now, I’m waiting on the DNS of our staging domain to propagate to the new server, and it should be a matter of hours until the site is back to it’s former glory.

(I know I keep saying that, but I promise it’s true this time).

…now, if Murphy and his stupid laws will stay out of my way for the next few hours, I can get some work done!
