2010 has really gotten off to a great start in terms of acquisitions, and I'm glad to see that Apple is jumping right in. Good analysis of the acquisition - I wonder how deep Apple is interested in going with the advertising game. My guess, not all that deep, just want to make sure there's a healthy ad ecosystem that keeps the apps coming (and the dollars to Apple). I think focus on the AppStore distribution and devices will continue to be paramount.

Its nice to see some early 2010 acquisitions, hopefully this is a good sign for mobilility this year.

After the first wave of mobile consolidation a couple years ago its interesting to see this recent wave leaving only Millennial Media as lone indie shop that can operate at any scale.

for the record this story started here on SiliconAngle confirmed by my friend Kara Swisher -
http://siliconangle.com/blog/2010/01/04/rumor-apple-to-buy-quattro-wireless/

For all the non-bloggers out there - it is hard to get an apple scoopo so I thought we'd do a review of how this happens
How Many Bloggers Does it Take to Bring In An Apple Scoop = 4

Ananomy of a Apple scoop

MobileMarketer is all over the rumor, BusinessInsider picks it up, SilionAngle figured it out, and AllThingsD cleaned it up with confirm.

Getting a Apple story is so hard it takes 4 big bloggers to real it in.

Can't wait for the tablet
