Sony’s Internet TV Flaunted at IFA in Berlin

Though there was no demo given, Sony Internet TV was showed off at IFA in Berlin, offering a sneak peak of its final design.  It is the world’s first HDTV powered by Google TV, and is one of the many upcoming devices coming out in support of Google’s growing platforms.

The 46-inch Sony Internet TV is available in several devices, but remains as the exclusive launch partner of Google TV. The pricing and availability was not revealed, let alone most of the internal specs, the panel being used and expansion options.

For the cheapest offers, watch out for the Logitech Revue companion box. The debut price  is expected to range from $2500-$3500.

This is so far labeled as the final design for the Sony Internet TV, but it could be subject to some tweaks should Sony Electronics deem it necessary. The capabilities and features will gravely affect the pricing and demand for these newest breakthrough in HDTV technology.

With Apple recently announcing its new TV media hub, along with partnerships for Netflix and broadcast distribution, the IFA conference is all the more important to Google.  Sony is one of the many manufacturers helping to validate Google’s growth and latest initiatives.  Samsung debuted its GalaxyTab at IFA last week as well.
