AIO Printer Apps Calling from Lexmark

Today Lexamrk made public its intention for developing all-in-one apps for the printer devices. The conference where the announcement has been made – Adobe MAX conference,  gathered seekers of third-party developers familiar with Adobe Flash technology. Lexmark invites all the interested developers to publish their methods on Lexmark’s SmartSolutions Center, with goals to offer apps to users.

Lexmark aims the printer-integrated applications to small and medium businesses. These “SmartSolutions” are to be designed to ease the use of most common applications, such as downloading and customizing cloud-based apps. In this way, stresses Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Imaging Solutions Division, the AIO applications „save time and money”.

This SmartSolutions that Lexmark has already integrated and tested in his printer devices, are thought to discharge the office employers of the burden of managing hard copies. Moreover, Lexmark anounced already the implementation of Google Analytics in a month time now.

There is currently a drive for the integration of AIO apps. Applications development is seek even by Google, Xerox or HP. The trend for social networking is very pronounced and it is turned towards Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Since Lexmark reported for last year revenues about $4.0 billion, their policy is continuing to broaden, now being focused on SmartSolutions Software Development Kit.  It will really help drive the real-time data exchange, as businesses and marketers will have even more ways to access and move information around.  Printing that data on-demand has a streamlining effect that enhances business operations.  It will be interesting to see the long-term effects of such integration.
