DoCoMo and Softbank’s Max Profits for Q2

The popularity of Apple’s iPhone brings maximum profits for NTT DoCoMo Inc. and Softbank Corp., the two largest Japanese mobile phone operator and telecommunications corporation. DoCoMo has increased its net income by 22%, thereby gathering $2.1 billion, whereas Softbank experienced an income increase of  32% income.

Regarding the place on the Tokyo stock exchange, both DoCoMo and Softbank rose to 0.5% and respectively 22% for this year, reports Bloomberg.

The popularity of the iPhone in Japan has been heavily increased up to September 2010, representing 60% of the country’s purchases, followed by Xperia with 21% and Sharp with 6.3%.

Due to the near release of iPhone 4 and Blackberry Torch, the smartphone purchases throughout the world is expected to rise to up to 55%.  In all, we’re seeing the global economy taking shape around mobile networks, devices and browsing activity.  It’s becoming a major part of our commerce structures, and communication and business tool set.  Softbank in particular has been interested in social mobile gaming.
