Hulu Plus Gets More Direct, Sony Bravia TV and More

Hulu has been adding more content and devices since it launched Hulu Plus. The latest is its availability on Sony BRAVIA 2010 TVs, in addition to several contents they have added over the past few weeks including fall shows Raising Hope, No Ordinary Family, and The Event, and new seasons of Monk, Psych, and Battlestar Galactica.

The company strips off invitation for subscription throughout their preview period for a larger audience. Hulu Plus is now available to PS3 owners with a PlayStation Network account, which is already free.

Hulu Plus will work with the latest PS3 application it released that incorporates feedback it has been receiving, all for the purpose of improving content and services.

Of course, Hulu’s been building up its empire for quite some time now.  It’s spreading across devices and platforms, increasing its consumer accessibility.  Parallel to Hulu’s development is Netflix, which has made quite a few partners in its recent growth, and has also gone digital with its distribution platform.

In the opposite corner are companies like Apple and Google, which are developing a unique series of distribution methods as well.  For Hulu, going the direct TV route is another race towards digitizing as many devices as possible for entertainment and marketing purposes.  What everyone still wonders, though, is if cable can keep up.  Many analysts expect that cable companies will seek out more partnerships with companies like Hulu.
