WordPress Celebrates Mobile Milestone on Nokia

WordPress has just recently announced a gigantic milestone for its mobile apps with 1 million happy users of all its mobile platforms, marking an era of mobile blogging.

The company has launched BlackBerry and Android apps since the first WordPress mobile app was built for iPhone in 2008 allowing users to blog straight from their mobile phones.

All about extraordinarily capturing an ordinary day, WordPress for Nokia means reaching out a wider market and awaking the blogger in most of today’s mobile phone users. WordPress had given out a word about two exciting platforms and it’s giving out one now in celebration of its one million subscribers.

The WordPress app  can be directly downloaded from the Nokia OVI store

And since all WordPress apps are open source, developers can continually contribute to make it better.

WordPress’ rise in the mobile sector is key for future development, as competition is coming from Posterous, Tumblr and to some extent, even Facebook.
