Juniper Networks Brings New Support to IPV6 Migration: It’s Dynamite

During Juniper Networks’ Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) at the gogoNET LIVE! 2010 conference in San Jose, CA the company announced its support to Dual Stack Lite or DS-Lite as an outstanding approach to IPv6 migration.image

During an interview Robert Krohn, VP and general manager, Router Services of Juniper Networks said, “DS-Lite allows incremental build outs where IPv6 needs to be deployed only in the access networks. The beauty of DS-Lite is that it couples the deployment of IPv6 with a way to share IPv4 addresses, encouraging the industry to move toward IPv6. This technology is a classic example of Juniper’s continued leadership in delivering CGNAT solutions.”

The DS-Lite has several dynamite services. Arguably, the most exceptional is its service to providers to commence adopting IPv6 while still gracefully connecting hosts to IPv4 content that currently exists on the Internet. It will basically permit providers to handle IPv4 address as its exhaustion increases while utilizing IPv6 as a transport layer for IPv4 in the access network.  This support of Juniper Networks to DS-Lite demonstrates the company’s support to the mobile security campaign.

Why aren’t we educating people?” This is the recent statement of Bob Dix, VP of Juniper Networks as he compares the need of making population aware of the cyber threats and mobile security, just as the U.S. government succeeded back in 2009 with the H1N1 pandemic flu.

Network innovation is the primary venture of Juniper Networks. The organization delivers the software, silicon and systems that transform the practice and financial aspects of networking: from devices, data centers, consumers to cloud providers. With its arms extending globally for both consumers and partners, Juniper Networks garnered a whopping $3 billion in revenue last 2009—making it one of the key players in its sphere of business.
