Together with the pricing details, the company also announced that it is now open for pre-orders, and delivery will be expected before the year ends.

“Kno’s extraordinary benefits represent only a tiny fraction of the overall cost of college, but its impact on the student’s career – and the energy it adds to the experience, the thrill of learning, and the ultimate grade – is dramatic. Even better, when you do the math, it actually pays for itself and still saves $1,300 in digital textbook costs,” a statement given by Osman Rashid, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kno, Inc. following the announcement on pricing an dpre-orders.

The technology of Kno is far from being just another ordinary digital textbook. Kno has crafted a powerful and effective means of learning that will ensure easier concept and facts absorption and strengthening analytic skills of the students.

Kno textbook tablets is hitting on the right prospect sector—the education. With the demand for niche tablets rapidly growing, education is a segment that is undeniably great to build on with publishing industry heading towards the tablet direction. As online inventory of books or virtual library is now open to rent its materials to students for a growing population.

While education apps aren’t topping the list of fastest growing, tablets developed for this sector present an opportunity for publishers to control a larger portion of their inudstry.  Education-designed tablets are huge incentives from a marketing standpoint, partnered distribution through educational institutions, and a direct platform for publishing textbook and other prevelant content.  As the publishing industry as a whole shifts from paper to code, they’ll want to plug into as many access points as possible, in order to collect profit.
