Scaling the Cloud: Clustrix Takes on Strata

CDS maker Clustrix is with us at the O’Reilly Strata Conference today, where it will be demonstrating its ultra-scalable Clustrix Series 4000 appliances. The company earlier announced its accelerating global growth, and this time it’s providing an example of just how cloud scalability helps businesses to manage their rapidly increasing data. Clustrix is a company determined to take the cloud on, and it’s scaling onwards and upwards to achieve that goal.

“Clustrix will demonstrate the Clustrix Series 4000 appliances, which bring to database administrators the best of both worlds: the high-performance, high-scalability of NoSQL key value stores and the relational, ACID-compliant and robust functionality of SQL while providing drop-in interoperability with the MySQL protocol.”

Each node in a Clustrix cluster is delivered as a deployed CLX 4000 Series appliance, and clusters can be easily linearly scaled to hundreds of nodes with high read/write performance. Cloud scaling is a highly manageable and cost efficient aspect of the current data evolution, only increasing in importance for the enterprise in particular, and Clustrix is looking to get a lead on the curve with its CLX 4000.

Here at the Strata Conference we’re looking at big data, how it’s being managed and how it’s being utilized. SiliconANGLE is attending the conference, and covering the news right as they happen (check our live stream at SiliconANGLE.tv).  The cloud industry has seen several developments in scalability offerings lately, including the launch of GigaSpaces’ all new XAP 8.0, and Oracle Exalogic’s optimal way of managing the cloud’s data.
