HTC ThunderBolt Will Light up Verizon’s Skies. The 2-Day Countdown!

Perhaps you would agree with me when I say that Verizon is the most visible member of the mobile industry. Relaxation is a non-existent term for this company. And on March 17, Verizon Wireless will introduce ThunderBolt By HTC— its first 4G smartphone.

When you put together one of the fastest growing mobile phone company and the industry leader in one launch, you can expect nothing but a blast. This ThunderBolt will parade the following features: HTC Sense experience that provides enhancements and new personalization options, a consolidated e-mail inbox, inimitable camera effects and filters, 4.3” WVGA display, 8-megapixel rear facing camera and HD (720p) video recording, Mobile Hotspot capability – share 4G connection with up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices and outfitted with support for Google Mobile Services like Gmail, YouTube and Android Market. Moreover, the ThunderBolt by HTC will carry the distinct 4G LTE optimized apps such as EA’s Rock Band, Gameloft’s Let’s Golf, Tunewiki and Bitbop.

Being at the top of the mobile network pyramid with 33% market share in the US, Verizon has unremittingly pursued every opportunity that comes along. As it expanded its arms onto the cloud and tapped VMware’s vCloud for first level implementation, it went on to acquire Terramark for $1.4 billion to remold the business model and explore other cloud strategies.

The enterprise opened the year by snatching the iPhone venture from AT&T and breaking sales records thereafter. Still within the mobile niche, Verizon enhances customer’s personal cloud services through the music experience, via the V Cast for Android. The release of iPad 2 a little less than a month ago also called for victory within Verizon’s foreground. Earlier this month, it sought another partnership with Lextech Labs to offer mobile video surveillance service to its customers over 3G and 4G.

Staying in shape is Verizon’s battle cry.  And with its untiring efforts to stay ahead of the game, AT&T will beyond doubt have to cross a thorny road to regain the lead.
