Juniper Networks a Lucky Beneficiary of AT&T’s T-Mobile Acquisition

Perhaps Apple is the happiest party outside of the colossal AT&T-T-Mobile billion-dollar deal. Its iPhone and other products will now reach over 40 million T-Mobile subscribers. But, Apple is not alone at the bliss arena, as Juniper Networks is also expected to take pleasure from this pact.

To make the lines of connection more visible, here are some reasons why Juniper Networks should also be raving about the AT&T and T-Mobile merger. Juniper Networks, elected in the 2011 Ethisphere’s “World’s Most Ethical Companies,” invented the Junos Pulse, which secures remote access and connectivity to iPhone and iPod touch anytime and anywhere. With the recent release of other Apple products in the market, the Junos Pulse App for the iPad is part of Juniper’s broader Junos Pulse platform that will potentially do well as AT&T reaches out to millions of T-Mobile subscribers. This solution is set to secure the device while enabling productivity of the enterprise. With enormous number of new customers as a premise of this contract, Juniper Networks will have to support loads of devices.

Adding to the Juniper’s celebratory mood is the announcement that Juniper Networks is joining the Eclipse foundation. This foundation is a premier open source community focused on building an open development platform and cultivating an open source community and ecosystem of complementary products and services.

Mike Harding, Vice President of Junos Space Business Unit at Juniper Networks stressed the purpose of the union: “In joining the Eclipse Foundation, Juniper Networks can provide its customers and partners with a richer development environment for creating applications to optimize their network assets and create new revenue opportunities while reducing cost, complexity and time. Eclipse is an elite organization and this is a great opportunity to bring faster productivity to new Junos software solutions.”

The chance for innovation and stiff competition that could result to family, money, fame and recognition will perpetually be there as mobile industry progresses.
