Microsoft Releases a Training Kit for Visual Basic and .NET

When it comes to developing applications for the Windows platform, the king of the mountain when it comes to developer tools has to be Visual Studio. However, one of the things about Visual Studio, aside from the confusing pricing scheme, is that unless you have prior experience using Visual Studio it can be hard to wrap your head around it.

To help you with that, Microsoft has released the Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Training Kit and it will help you in the following areas:

  • C# 4
  • Visual Basic 10
  • F#
  • Parallel Extensions
  • Windows Communication Foundation
  • Windows Workflow
  • Windows Presentation Foundation
  • Silverlight 4
  • ASP.NET 4
  • Windows 7
  • Entity Framework
  • ADO.NET Data Services
  • Managed Extensibility Framework
  • Visual Studio Team System
  • Windows Azure

You will need to have the following bits installed for this training kit to work:

  • Visual Studio 2010 SP1
  • .NET Framework 4
  • Silverlight 4
