Sales Crystal Automatically Pushes Context Aware Data and Docs to Smartphones

Imagine you’re rushing to get to a sales call. You’ve got no time to go digging around your mobile phone for background information. You’re going in cold.

But what if all the materials you needed – CRM data, presentation documents, even LinkedIn profiles of everyone attending the meeting – could be sent to your phone or tablet automatically?

That’s the idea behind Core Mobile Networks, a small company founded by Chandra Shekhar Tekwani and part of the Citrix Startup Accelerator Program. Its advisory board includes senior executives from Nokia and Juniper Networks.

The SaaS platform, called Sales Crystal, can be triggered to push relevant documents and information to users’ mobile device based on either calendar items in Outlook or location, Tekwani told Wikibon’s Dave Vellante and SiliconANGLE’s John Furrier live inside theCube at Citrix Synergy 2001.

A sales pro could get relevant info sent to him or her when a sales call is imminent or a truck driver could be sent documents or even directions as he or she gets closer to a client’s location, he explained.

A free beta version of Sales Crystal is available via the Apple App Store now, Tekwani said, and an enterprise edition is expected to hit the market in August. It is compatible with the iPhone and Android-based smartphones over AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless networks. Tekwani said Sales Crystal will soon be available on the BlackBerry and other smartphones.
