#theCube Summer Tour Continues with #DellSF11 and #HPDiscover

This week is one of the most busy news weeks we’ve ever expected, at least for the range of topics we tend to cover here at SiliconANGLE. Not only is most of #theCube team on the road covering HP Discover and Dell Storage Forum, this is also the week the news from Apple’s WWDC hits the wires, and to top it off, we are expecting a flood of news from E3, the world’s largest gaming conference.

The best way to stay up to date on all of this (other than subscribing to our RSS or Twitter feeds) is to stay tuned to this page, where all our live streams and live blogs will show up.

The Feed for HP Discover on SATV1
With John Furrier, Dave Vellante, Michael Sean Wright and Marc Ostrick.

The Feed for Dell Storage Forum on SATV2
With Cali Lewis, John MacArthur, Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins and Dave Curlee.

Incidentally, if you’re in Vegas at HP Discover, come by #theCube and say hi to our hosts, John Furrier and Dave Vellante (with Marc Ostrick and Michael Sean Wright at the production table). If you’re Orlando at Dell Storage Forum, drop by the broadcast booth to say hi to Cali Lewis and John MacArthur (with Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins and Dave Curlee at the production table).

HP Discover
As illustrated in Wikibon’s recent Infographic, HP is in the midst of a transformation through new management and recent acquisitions. HP Discover focuses on Enterprise business and our coverage will include broad coverage of storage, servers, networks, security, services, cloud, big data, and virtualization. Monday evening’s coverage will include an examination of changes in the storage world with industry veterans Dave Vellante, Dave Donatelli and Dave Scott. A good breadth of customers and technology partners – including Microsoft, Intel, QLogic, VMware (Co-President Carl Eshenbach will kick off Thursday’s coverage), Broadcom and SAP – will give allow us to dig deep into HP’s ecosystem.

Dell Storage Forum
Dell has been undergoing a shift from reselling EMC storage to in-house offerings (bolstered by a number of acquisitions), which is leading the company towards a more profitable portfolio. Dell Storage Forum brings together EqualLogic and Compellent customer events, affording the opportunity to highlight and educate both end users and channel partners on the full spectrum of Dell’s offerings. Coverage kicks-off on Tuesday with Dell’s storage vision from top storage leadership: VP & GM Darren Thomas and President of Dell Compellent Phil Soran. The broadcast will include conversations and analysis of the latest storage trends including VDI, storage optimization, scalable file systems, cloud, and virtualization. Customers, partners, industry analysts and bloggers will also share proof points and insights in The Cube.

Between the two shows there will be over 60 interviews – that’s a lot of storage for HD video on disk and in the cloud! Both Dell and HP have a strong social media program, so in addition to the video programs and Twitter streams, be sure to check out the independent blogger coverage at both events (see lists for HP and Dell). We will be monitoring the Twitter streams for questions – hope to see you at the events or online.
