Infineta Gains Infrastructure Insight with New Board Member

Infineta, a San-Jose firm that makes hyper-scale WAN optimization systems, announced today the latest member of its board of directors. Ashok Krishnamurthi is joining the company, a 20-year tech industry vet who is the co-founder and chairman of I/O virtualization solutions provider Xsigo Systems.

Prior to his work with Xsigo, Krishnamurthi was the vice president and general manager of Juniper’s infrastructure business, and earlier served in various other positions at Sun, AT&T and a number of additional companies.

Raj Kanaya, co-founder and CEO of Infitea, said this in a statement:

“We are excited to welcome Ashok to our Board and to our team. His long established track record both as a successful entrepreneur and top executive with deep experience with critical infrastructure solutions and major enterprises will serve as important assets as we embark on our period of growth.”

Krishnamurthi holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.

There seems to have been a lot of executive-level hires and management changes recently. One of the latest companies that had an update from this area before Infineta’s announcement is Hewlett-Packard, which hired Gregg Melinson as its new VP of Global Government Affairs and Deputy General Counsel. Melinson comes from a legal background in the public sector, most recently as  chief marketing partner at  Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.

Zenprise also made a significant recent hire recently. The company appointed Chris Doell to the newly created role of vice president of customer success, which puts him in charge of several key operational and administrative duties including  customer support, account management, and so on. Prior to working with Zenprise, Doell founded and served as CEO of sportsTALK.com , and worked at a number of tech companies, including  Intuit and Macromedia.
