Companies are just about ready for the huge IFA event happening in Berlin on September 2-7.  There are already leaked photos or rumors preceding device launch which are making consumers drool with anticipation.

The following are just some of the companies with their leaked or rumored devices that might make an appearance in the 2011 IFA.

Samsung

A blurry photo of the rumored Galaxy Tab 7.7 surfaced the web with accompanying articles that states that this tablet will be one of the devices Samsung will unveil at IFA, along with a line of LTE smartphones.  The name suggests that the tablet is 7.7 inches but it could also mean that the device measures 7 inches with 720p, or 1280 x 720 high-definition resolution.  The rumored tablet was fished from the Samsung Mobile Unpacked APK that has the IFA event location and date together with 2 other logos, the Samsung Wave 3 that will probably run the latest Bada OS, and the Samsung Note, which is still shrouded in mystery.

Toshiba

The company is said to unveil an ultrathin tablet at the IFA convention.  Their previous tablet, the Thrive, wasn’t received with much applause, as it was quite bulky with a cheap plastic casing that didn’t quite make a positive impact on consumers.  The new rumored tablet is said to have micro ports for SD, HDMI and USB that slim the device down, along with a TI OMAP4460 dual-core 1.5GHz processor, an edge-to-edge screen, and a brushed-metal case.  Details on which version of Android it will run, screen size and other specs are not available at the moment.

LG

Two new LCD monitors will likely be unveiled by LG at the IFA which include the E91 and the D237IPS.  The E91 is a very thin 23-inch monitor at 7.2mm thick with a 4.35mm thick screen bezel that gives it a slick and almost borderless style, using a hanger-like stand to allow for precise adjustment for viewing angles when using the 1920 x 1080 resolution screen and a contrast ratio of 10M:1.  The D237IPS uses the LG Film Pattern Retarder 3D display tech on a 23-inch IPS panel, offering a clearer and brighter 3D image with a color depth of 16.7M colors, 1920 x 1080 resolution.  It also has a flicker-free screen certified by TUV and Intertek to reduce dizziness and headaches associated with the screens producing flicker and a 5M:1 contrast ratio.

Rumored beyond IFA

Others rumored to be launching their devices within this year but not necessarily at the IFA are Amazon, with an Android tablet or a new Kindle reader Kindle Scribe that allows users to write using a stylus that could possible sell for less than a hundred dollars.  Sony is set to release the S and P tablets that run on Android Honeycomb OS, originally named S1 and S2.  They’re expected to hit stores by September together with a rumored reader, the Sony PRS-T1, that would sell for $240.

HTC is said to be launching its first set of LTE smartphones, including the Holiday (which could be renamed Waikiki) and Lead, on AT&T, with HSPA+ as a backup.  And of course, the much awaited iPhone 5 that no one really knows much about, though there’s plenty of visually enhanced speculation.   This video is probably the best concept about the potential of the iPhone 5, many agreeing that this is what the phone really looks like.

Last but not least, there’s one gadget that’s not a rumor.  The new Razor Blade has set out to be the world’s first true gaming laptop.  Razor, the company known for manufacturing durable and innovative computer hardware, took HP’s announcement and Jobs’ resignation as an opportunity to break into the PC manufacturing sector with the Razor Blade.  The laptop features 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 2640M Processor, 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 Memory, a 17.3-inch LED Backlit Display (1920×1080), NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M with NVIDIA Optimus Technology, 2GB Dedicated GDDR5 video memory, a built-in HD webcam, and an integrated 60Wh battery.   But the most important feature, and probably the biggest selling point of this device, is the multi-award winning Switchblade User Interface that is comprised of 10 dynamic adaptive tactile keys for easier access of in-game commands, and an LCD capable of two modes: one mode that displays in-game information when a mouse is in use, and another mode that functions as an ultra-sensitive, multi-touch panel designed for gaming on the go.  The Razor Blade is priced at $2,799.99.
