Rypple debuts its social performance management platform to the mobile scene by launching an app for the iPhone. The application is available for free, and like it’s web-based counterpart, will allow managers and employees to recognize great work, provide immediate feedback, and stay connected outside the office premise. Among many others, Rypple’s iPhone app features public recognition, real-time feedback, continuous coaching, and company newsfeed. It’s like a company-exclusive social network.
“Enterprises are embracing iPhones, iPads, and other consumer mobile technologies,” said Maksim Ovsyannikov, VP, Product Management for Rypple. “Rypple is among the first companies to introduce a mobile business productivity tool for the enterprise.”
Rypple’s decision to expand to the mobile space will make performance management “more natural, social, and timely.” Employees will always get a shot in the arm through “feedback, coaching and recognition” while managers are rather at ease in keeping their teams focused.
Through the app, employees won’t have to wait for the next workday to congratulate a colleague or talk about an important issue. They are also able to check their feeds to stay updated of the company’s whereabouts or post a status in real time to say thanks for a job well done. It’s a new way of leveraging technology to create a team atmosphere in a digital space, similar to Salesforce Chatter but independent for any given office team.
The Rypple iPhone app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and is available in three versions: Freemium which provides basic capabilities; Premium, which costs $5-per-user-per-month and includes access to Rypple’s goals, real-time peer feedback, one-on-one coaching, and recognition applications; and Phenomenal, which costs just $9 per-user-per-month and includes Rypple’s rapid performance review application, Loops, extensive support, rollout, and integration into existing company work systems.
Less than a month ago, Rypple launched a new product called Flow, a newsfeed optimized for large format TV monitors especially built for shared workplaces. It flashes the most recent news that matter to the company, consequently making it a gauge of a company’s pulse. Rypple also demonstrates how gamification can improve a working environment.
