SAP Sybase Tops the Tablet List for iPad, Android Business Apps

This week’s tablet biz apps roundup brings you five of our best picks, and Sybase Mobile Sales & Workflow by SAP is the most noteworthy.  The iPad SAP CRM client is a part of a much broader attempt by SAP to boost its cloud, mobile and big data initiatives, as well to get legacy customers to gradually upgrade their infrastructure.

iPad

 Sybase Mobile Sales & Workflow

This app is iPad-optimized, allowing enterprise users to access SAP CRM Sales data including accounts, leads, analytics and so forth, all on-the-go. It also allows users to receive Business Suite Workflow alerts and notifications at any time or location,  and workflows can be managed from within the mobile interface.

SugarSync

SugarSync is a cloud storage and collaboration service that’s dabbling in the same genre as Dropbox, Box.net and other high-profile competitors. The iPad client offers a comfortable way for users to access and share their files on-the-fly, manage their files and folders and sync content across most connected devices.

WirelessDMS

WirelessDMS is the iPad client for client for the Open Text eDOCS DM document manager. Matrix Logic customers  can access their documents, view recent edits and activity and carry out a number of other tasks.

Android

Beautiful Notes for Honeycomb

Beautiful Notes provides a sleek and streamlined note-taking interface that also comes with some handiness mixed in. Offline and airplane mode, along with Dropbox sync and the ability to geotag documents all make the app a very good pick for the on-the-go worker.

PressReader

PressReader is a newspaper reading app that, alongside providing features to make reading and browsing easier, also packs a much broader range of advantages.  It features a lot of the most popular financial and business titles as well as many others in different categories, and puts that whole paper element back into mobile reading.
