This is the Type of Poll Microsoft is Hoping for with Windows Phone

There are a lot of polls and surveys that seem to pop up daily that proclaim the winners and losers in the mobile space, and for the most part, the tech pundits have had lots of fun rubbing Microsoft’s nose in those poll results.

However one of the things that Microsoft has been hoping for when it comes to Windows Phone adoption is its deal with Nokia, which as part of the deal was for its current feature phone and smartphone OS, known as Symbian, to be replaced by Windows Phone. There has been a number of posts written questioning the presumption that happy Nokia Symbian users would move over to the new Windows Phone OS.

Well it turns out that the All About Symbian blog decided to find out from those who matter, the users, what they were going to do once Nokia makes the full switch to Windows Phone. The blog has been running a poll for almost six months now and I am betting that if these numbers hold true both Microsoft and Nokia will be breathing a little easier.

According to the long running poll, almost 50% of current Symbian / Nokia users are willing to consider buying a Nokia Windows Phone when it comes available. Here are the poll results, which you can see at the AllAboutSymbian.com blog in their sidebar area.
