Are You Craving For The Ice-Cream Sandwich On the New Galaxy Nexus? You Should

Yesterday, NTT Docomo prematurely leaked info regarding the Samsung-Google event in Hong Kong.  Honestly?  You can’t really expect that something that big would be kept a secret, do you?

So what does the new Galaxy Nexus have that makes Fandroids drool?

The Ice Cream Sandwich

It’s the first device to run on Android 4.0 a.k.a. Ice Cream Sandwich, the Android OS that works on both phones and tablets which makes Android more enticing and intuitive.  Google also made a new font optimized for HD displays and eliminated all hardware buttons and replaced it with adaptable software buttons.  The keyboard is dramatically improved, notifications made more interactive and widgets are now resizable.  The new OS also boasts of desktop-class, significantly faster browser with a refined tab manager, the ability to sync bookmarks with Google Chrome and it offers the best mobile Gmail experience with a new design that lets users quickly swipe through messages in the inbox and search messages even when you’re offline.  And the revamped Calendar sports a clean new look that allows on to zoom into schedule with a pinch.

Galaxy Nexus Features

An awesome OS like the Ice Cream Sandwich only deserves to launch on an equally jawdropping device.  The Galaxy Nexus comes in an elegant and sophisticated design, slightly curved to better fit in the palm of your hands.  If you’re a really private person and you don’t want anyone to have access to our phone, this is perfect for you because of its Face Unlock feature that utilizes facial recognition to allow phone access.  The Nexus Galaxy is NFC capable and the Android Beam feature allows users to share contacts, apps, maps, videos, photos to people close by just tapping/touching two NFC-enabled devices together.  Voice typing allows users to create SMS, e-mails or anywhere users want to enter text by just touching the microphone icon to active this feature.  Google+ is already built-in so sharing with friends or anyone on Google+ is so quick and easy.  It also boasts of a single-motion panoramic camera with zero shutter-lag, automatic focus, top notch low-light performance and a simple, intuitive way to take panoramic pictures with no stitching needed. The 4.65″ high-definition sAMOLED display makes text, photos, videos & games appear crisp, vibrant and rich. And it’s packed with a 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor that lets you toggle between apps, games, browsing and because it runs at 4G (LTE or HSPA+) multitasking, like browsing while watching a movie and also chatting with your friends won’t even slowdown the Galaxy Nexus’ performance.
