Amazon’s Ready for Black Friday Madness

Retailers–online or offline–are prone to give discounts during the holiday season.  It has been a custom for only God know since when, and it has existed long before there were online retail stores.  For Black Friday, Amazon is getting started early with a store just for Black Friday Deals, set to offer discounts at various times until that magical day arrives. They’ll also offer “Super Saver” options to eligible orders priced above $25.

Kohl’s, Macy’s and Target have already committed to follow the retail giant’s footprints and open their own deal sites at midnight a day after Thanksgiving.  It’s around this time that shopping is at its busiest.

Amazon has been investing heavily on distribution and digital offerings, to the expense of its users, leading to a 73 percent dive of its Q3 earnings. Further operating loss in Q4 could happen, despite it being it’s the busiest shopping season.

Newegg, Best Buy get in early, too

Newegg Inc., the second-largest online retailer in the US, has painted the whole month with Black November to cater customers in US and Canada. It aims at relieving people from “Mall Madness” that’s common to shoppers during holiday season. Newegg will start offering special promotional on November 1, and will carry on with the conventional Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Encore Tuesday plugs.

This week Best Buy is also going to launch a Special 8-hour sale on its website starting midnight for shoppers who are eyeing high-tech items. They highlighted ahead the discount of a $247.77 Gateway laptop (2 GB memory and 320 GB hard drive) , a $549.99 46-inch HDTV, a $49.99 flip video camcorder, and a free LG Marquee mobile phone (with 2-year contract with Sprint) when they revealed the shopping discount.

Beyond Black Friday

Sure, Black Friday is one of the holiday high points where one can land some great discounts on items for themselves or to hand out as gifts. However, there are also myths surrounding the day that buyers overlooks. Here they are divided in two, part 1 and part 2, from The Christian Post. Here are four more tips from Sacramento Bee, encouraging you to do your research.
