Splashtop Tops the Best iPad, Android Tablet Business Apps of the Week
In this week’s list of bets business tablet apps, Splashtop for Android tablets took the number one spot. The enterprise version of the highly popular remote desktop app for both Android and the iPad features extended functionality that really puts an emphasis on the mobile worker, as well as the IT administrator.
Android
Splashtop Pro takes the key features from the consumer version of the app and adds security, remote data wipe and a lot of manageability that comes in the form of a comprehensive admin panel. The IT department can control the permissions given to users accessing their company desktops remotely, group users for shared access, and so on.
This productivity app allows you to sync files across multiple devices, integrates with Microsoft Office, and provides 2GB of free storage, along with a number of other features. This is all bundled up in a clean UI with support for 28 different languages.
iPad
Projector for iPad is a project management app that blends in a lot of features with relative simicity, allowing users to be more productive with the tool. The built-in Gantt Chart provides a visualization of tasks, resources and start and end dates among other things, while other capabilities provide a sense of flexibility.
This app also puts a big emphasis on simplicity, allowing users to create voice records by tapping the screen. It does, however, feature some other functions such as the ability to attach images and hand-written notes to specific recordings, email files from directly within the app and more.
Noteself in turn is a handwriting-only note-taking application that focuses more on looks. The interface, ink and even the digital paper all feel rather natural, sitting just below a minimalistic toolbar.
