FusionFace Tops this Week’s List: Best iPad, Android Tablet Apps for Business Users

This week a somewhat less practical and more humorous app made it the top of our list. Rather than taking an approach more similar to what Microsoft did with Google-bashing Gmail Man campaign, the flash storage provider released an app that tries its best to depict Fusion-io’s edge in the market on the user’s facial expressions.

iPad

FusionFace

“Our cost effective and scalable performance solutions will help a wide range of needs, from databases to cloud computing to scaling out infrastructure. The face warping effect of Fusion-io performance on your applications will give you Fusion Face!”

The app requires a face-fronting photo of an individual, which once provided is distorted into show an individual with a particularly wide-eyed look of shock.

PaperPort Notes

PaperPort is an integrated notetaking app that does its magic by combining just about every method of recording documents and notes. It can scan handwritten documents, record audio notes, add audio notes to text and an imposing list of other things that make it rather unique.

Salesforce Viewer

Salesforce Viewer is an open iPad client for the cloud CRM service developed by Salesforce Labs. Users can access their accounts, manage Chatter, browse through lists and so forth within a well-crafted interface.

Android

FlightTrack

FightTrack is one of the most thorough flight tracking apps out there. It follows flights in real-time worldwide, and  adds several unique features to top it all off. For example, if a flight is cancelled the app will notify the user and will provide a list of potential alternatives.

Writepad Stylus

Writepad Stylus offers a framework for stylus handwriting on an Android tablet, offering a good platform for the more organized types to register their notes conveniently in a digital format
