In October of last year, Google launched the much needed 2.0 update for Google TV. The update brought a simpler interface with a customizable home screen that is app-integrated to make browsing and selections easier and faster as well as an improved search and a new YouTube experience.
Google’s product manager Jurek Foryciarz, announced that in the next few days, Google will be releasing updates for the YouTube app on Google TV that will make it faster and easier to find great content, add YouTube channel pages, and giving users more control over their YouTube experience. The update is available in the Android Market.
New Features:
Aside from the YouTube app update, Google fans are waiting for the cloud storage service, the home entertainment device that would rival Sonos and AirPlay and the next generation personal communication device that they are testing.
A report from Mercury News stated that Googleplex is seeing some major additions. At the center of Googleplex will rise the “Google Experience Center.”
“The Experience Center would not typically be open to the public — consisting of invited groups, and guests whose interests will be as vast as Google’s range of products, and often confidential,” Andrew Burnett, an architect working on the project, explained in a letter late last year to Mountain View officials.
“Therefore, the Experience Center must also operate somewhat like a museum, exhibit, or mercantile space allowing flexibility in the exhibits so that as Google’s products and needs change, the space can adapt.”
