Weekly Tablet Business Apps Roundup: Collaboration on iPad, Analytics on Android

This week we feature iOS and Android apps to help you work more efficiently from your tablet. First on the list is Roambi Viewer, which is specifically optimized for the new iPad’s high quality monitor. We also look at two apps from the revamped Android Market, now known as Google Play. Woopra is the highlight of this list: it’s essentially a mobile version of G-Analytics, giving business users insight into what’s happening in their web-based storefront and how visitors are engaging it.

iPad

Roambi Viewer

Developer MeLLmo promptly released new versions of two of its most popular apps after the new iPad launched, including Viewer. The biggest selling point is that the application, a business-grade publication and sharing tool, is optimizing for the iPad’s new Retina Display.

DigitalPresenter

DigitalPresenter is a management app that enables the distribution of relevant material to sales reps based on individual codes and their iPad’s unique hardware ID. It syncs with Box and iBooks.

Moprise

Moprise is a hybrid sitting somewhere in between Viewer and Presenter, with the addition of a gimmicky name. Workers can share data and view files and documents all while leveraging additions such as security and backup.

Android

Woopra

Woopra is a data dashboard that lets you look into what visitors on your website are doing. But the newly launched app takes that a step further by enabling the user to open up a chat window with any given prospect, and a host of other features that make this new addition to Google play a very notable one.

IBV

The app is a reader that provides access to analysis by the IBM Institute for Business Value, the type of insight that can come very handy both on-the-go and in the office.
