Angry Birds Flies Off to Space – Game and Toys Launch Today

Rovio Entertainment, an industry-changing entertainment media company based in Finland best known for the Angry Birds franchise, announced the launch of Angry Birds Space.  The new space franchise features 60 interstellar levels, with regular free updates in the pipeline,  many hidden goodies, secret levels and cool space content.

Angry Birds Space lets you experience floating through space in zero gravity, using the gravity of nearby planets to set up spectacular trick shots, charging up shots with new superpowers, meeting new birds, and exploring a whole new galaxy packed with awesome graphics.

Angry Birds Space is now available on iTunes for iPhone and iPod Touch ($0.99) with an HD version for the iPad ($2.99), Mac App Store ($4.99), Google Play (free with ads, $0.99 ad-free, $2.99 HD version for tablets), Amazon ($0.99), and for Windows ($5.95).  Angry Birds Space marks the first integrated entertainment launch for Rovio, with merchandise, animation and books available in retail at the same time as the game.

And to celebrate the launch of Angry Birds Space, Rovio and partners hosted a series of launch events for fans of the game in Beijing, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Seattle and Tokyo. Today, Earth is officially the epicenter of fun in our galaxy!
