Nimble CRM Adds App to Chrome Web Store

Nimble is looking to revolutionize CRM at a scale that was previously associated, for the most part, with more legacy offerings. The company is essentially modernizing relations management, adding in factors from recent trends such as cloud and cross-platform support.

The latter encompasses mobile, as well as web. Nimble launched an app on Google‘s Chrome Web Store this week, enabling a user to add the app as a browser shortcut. The CRM startup optimized its flagship platform specifically for Chrome and opened it up to Google’s audience, even though it can be accessed from any browser as well.

“As a Google Apps CRM solution provider, we understand the value Nimble brings to the Google Apps community, and we are very excited to see the launch of Nimble Google Chrome Extension,” said Crisantos Hajibrahim, Managing Partner, ViWo, a leading Google Apps Reseller. “ViWo really believes that the Chrome browser and Chrome netbooks are the future for businesses in cloud computing. And with Nimble’s integration with the Chrome browser, this just proves that Nimble is thinking onward with precise vision.”

The enhanced support means a lot for Nimble, an SaaS provider that heavily relies on social media to empower its users including consumer-facing reps and sales personnel, who are leveraging this resource more frequently than ever.

Nimble is an up-and-coming player in a market that already has its fair share of competition. Salesforce is one obvious example of an alternative offering, but its smaller and newer rival is making gains. The main path Nimble has chosen to achieve this growth is R&D, the fruits of its labor including this week’s web-store integration, and a product overhaul back in February.  That particular update added some important features to Nimble’s existing functionality, but the most notable change was the improved UI.
