Yelp Tops This Week’s Tablet Business Apps Roundup

Location-based social search provider Yelp rolled out new versions of its iOS apps as well as the web-version, introducing new features to both iPhone and iPad users.  The update puts a lot of emphasis on usability, with the goal of rounding out the service across all platforms.

iPad

Yelp

Yelp lets you search businesses near you and locates hot spots based on what the user wants – whether he or she is searching for some place to eat, or temporary accommodations. It also lets you post reviews about businesses you visit, but until now it wasn’t possible to access some of the features that Yelp offered on other platforms. iPad users can now vote on reviews, add photos and edit business information directly from the tablet version.

Sales Beaver

Sales Rep is a content management tool for sales personnel that doesn’t require an internet connection and makes outside reps’ jobs a little easier. It does that by making information about a client or colleague accessible in an organized form that is neat, can be searched and categorized and at the end of the day fulfills its simple, yet often very important role.

FINRAX

FINRAX is a professional timesheet app that provides the user with a minimalistic interface that doesn’t slow down time logging while also not compromising on functionality. Users can create entries with ‘location-assisted’ task props, logging can be paused manually or automatically, and there’s an entire feature-set dedicated to actually organizing all the associated data such as hourly rates.

Android

Adobe CreatePDF

Adobe CreatePDF is a $10 app that’s functional, which is to be expected considering it’s an Adobe Systems app. It can be used to convert Word documents to PDF similarly to Acrobat, and of course to create PDFs from scratch. It syncs with a cloud-based service that checks for performance and data-integrity related issues, supports permissions and features a number of other capabilities. There’s a big emphasis on PDF conversation: there’s even a search function that automatically detects all the compatible files and allows you to convert all of them at once.

Enhanced Email

Enhanced Email is a sleek e-mail client for Exchange that serves as your mobile inbox, and also syncs your calendar and contacts information. It’s one of the most popular paid apps on Google Pay thanks to a full roster of features such as backup and mailbox aggression that is 100 percent fluff free.

Thank you for sharing - business apps, particularly those related to productivity are such an interesting trend to follow. I'm particularly interested in the functionality of Sales Beaver. Is it meant to be a mobile CRM, or is it mainly an extension of a contacts sheet? How does it compare with salesverge ?
