Putting the Work into Big Data, Caserta Concepts Teams with Cloudera

The newest member of Cloudera’s Connect Partner Program is Caserta Concepts, a consulting firm that offers services to enterprises that lack the in-house talent to implement a big data strategy.  It’s the latest name to join an already lengthy list of SIs, service providers, OEMs and other partners that compromise Cloudera’s substantial ecosystem. This community is one of the things that helped propel the vendor to its current position.

“Cloudera and Caserta Concepts are empowering enterprises to explore the power of Big Data,” said Tim Stevens, Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at Cloudera. “This partnership helps clients use social data that’s linked to their existing customers to make quick, powerful and smart business decisions.”

Caserta touts one particular example of enterprises leveraging big data in their existing environments – the integration of social streams with their existing relational metrics. The end result is a more agile data warehousing architecture that can be leveraged to gain better consumer insight, and improve sales.

Services are a big deal in big data. Wikibon’s market sizing report found that this segment accounts for over 40 percent of the revenue generated in the analytics market, and for reason.

The Hadoop phenomenon hasn’t been around for a very long time, and companies require outside assistance to identify the use studies that would best fit their business. Cloudera is offering the technology, and Caserta Concepts works in the field to actually implement it.

Caserta is one of several SIs that fulfill this particular role – the Hadoop distributor also lists OpenBI, Cloudwick and Data Tactics in addition to a number of others. Data Tactics, for instance, specializes on the ‘unique problems of big data management‘ facing defense and intelligence agencies, while Cloudwick is a deployment solutions providers that promises to shorten the roll out process.
