Telerik Announces Full Support for New Visual Studio 2012

Telerik, a leading provider of end-to-end software application, lifecycle and content management solutions, today announced that it will now provide full support for the Microsoft Visual Studio 2012. Telerik revealed that it has moved swiftly and in lockstep with Microsoft, updating its developer tools portfolio to offer full support of the IDE for .NET developers, giving them the ability to build apps on Microsoft’s most modern platforms and devices. Besides supporting MS Visual Studio 2012, Telerik developer tools will remain integrated and fully compatible with all previous versions of Visual Studio:

“Telerik is a trusted resource for professional developers wanting an all-in-one place to design and deploy their .NET software,” said Tom Lindeman, director of the Visual Studio Industry Program at Microsoft Corp. “Telerik’s compatibility ensures developers save time and reduces the amount of code they must write to create and launch powerful, new applications.”

With this development, Telerik is not only serving the developers with what they need, but also enabling them to be strategically prepared to seize new opportunities with Windows 8 and RT, and enhance their productivity.

Here’s the list of compatible Telerik Developer Tools for .NET products:

Web UI Controls & Components
RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX
RadControls for Silverlight
Kendo UI Complete for ASP.NET MVC

Mobile UI Controls
RadControls for Windows 8
RadControls for Windows Phone

Desktop UI Controls & Components
RadControls for WPF
RadControls for WinForms

Visual Studio Productivity Plug-ins
JustCode
JustMock
JustTrace
JustDecompile (standalone, free, tool; but compatible with the new .NET framework 4.5)
Sitefinity Thunder

Telerik is highly optimistic about its latest development, and looking ahead for a better collaboration with Microsoft in near future, which is actually good for the entire .NET developer community. After all, they all will be benefited with tools to enhance their work productivity.

“More than 100,000 customers look to us to deliver the best .NET tools for building innovative UIs with unbeatable Visual Studio productivity,” said Chris Sells, vice president of Telerik’s Developer Tools division. “We will continue to work closely with Microsoft to deliver everything .NET developers need to build great apps on new and existing platforms and devices.”

Telerik is almost in a developmental mode as it announced a major update last month as well. Telerik announced a big update to its Kendo UI mobile development framework with the release of several new features, including ASP.Net wrappers and functionality that extends the platform from just mobile devices to tablets as well. Other major improvement was ‘unique adaptive rendering’, where Kendo UI can automatically optimize an interface to fit the display screen of an iPad or Android tablet perfectly, meaning that the developer doesn’t have to do all that manually.
