Syncsort Adds DMExpress to Greenplum Integration

Syncsort’s landed its certification for DMExpress data integration software to load into the Greenplum Database. The company has also recently joined Greenplum Catalyst Developer Program.

And now that Syncsort is a member of Greenplum Catalyst Developer Program, DMExpress software will integrate with Greenplum Unified Analytics Platform (UAP).

What many IT organizations appear to be struggling with is the ability to keep up with the infrastructure demands coming from the large variety of Big Data, so Syncsort and Greenplum are helping its customers by offering solutions to integrate, store and analyze Big Data faster and more cost efficiently.

Syncsort’s DMExpress software makes it a lot easier to extract and transform data from almost anywhere while quickly loading it into Greenplum Databases without manual tuning or custom coding, which helps make more data available faster to kick-start Big Data analytics.

“As a satisfied customer of both Syncsort and Greenplum, we are generating tremendous value from the integration of their products and are now able to load our Greenplum Database three times faster using DMExpress than with our previous approach,” said Mike Brown, Chief Technology Officer of comScore.

Newer data is now able to get to the company’s analysts. They are also able to process twice as much data and still use the same hardware source, which definitely helps save money.

According to Josh Klahr, vice president of Product Management of Greenplum, Big Data analytics’ core rests in the Greenplum Database.

The software will help decrease the loading time that is associated with Big Data, which was proved through running tests. According to the reports, load throughput of over twelve terabytes per hour was achieved using four ETL servers.

“We’re excited to work with Syncsort in furthering our vision to enable customers to rapidly extract the greatest value from vast amounts of data and create more agile, data-driven businesses,” Klahr said.
