Spice Up Your iPhone 5 With These Cool Accessories

Apple fans who pre-ordered their iPhone 5 online will have to wait until October or November before they get their hands on their new iDevice.  This gives them a lot of time to shop for accessories and even wait for more cool accessories to become available.  But for those who are lining up on Friday or are already camped outside Apple stores to get their hands on the iPhone 5, you may want to come home with cool accessories that go well with your brand new, shiny iPhone 5.

Here are just some accessories ready for the taking:

BlueAnt Ribbon Stereo Bluetooth Streamer – for $69, you can start streaming your music from your iPhone 5 to speakers on your house or even your car stereo.  You can even clip this gadget on your clothes so you can just securely keep your iPhone 5 safe in your bag or pockets.  Ribbon connects wirelessly to your iPhone 5 via Bluetooth and connects to your speakers via a 3.5mm jack.

Quirky – Quirky is a crowdsourced design site which teamed up with Fab.com and created cool and quirky iPhone 5 cases like the Crossover which is a protective case with an overlay of two customizable silicone bands that easily strap cash, cards, and other personal effects to your iPhone 5’s back.

The Keeper which is a leather-feel billfold wallet that clips to the back of your device, giving you to access all your cards, cash, and documents without adding unwanted bulk to the sliver of sexy that is the iPhone 5.

The Folio which is a protective case featuring asoft-touch wallet that snaps open to reveal a cable organizer for ear buds. A bonus storage compartment provides a convenient hiding spot for a cleaning cloth, mints, or anything else you’d like to keep under wraps.

And the Core, which is a full-featured docking station that displays and charges your device and it also manages your cables as it features angular grooves plus it has interchangeable dock adapters and two additional USB ports, so you can still use it for your old iPhone or iPod Touch.  The thing is, you’d have to pre-order them as they aren’t available for delivery just yet, which is good if you’re waiting for your pre-ordered iPhone 5.

Spigen – they have new products like the iPhone 5 Leather Pouch Crumena Series, which lets you store your credit cards, money etc while also keeping your device safe while still looking sleek, available in black, vegetable brown and white.

The Ultra Thin Air Series may be right for you if you’re not fond of bulky, wallet type cases and is available in Smooth White, Smooth Black, Soft Clear, Crystal Clear and Azalea Pink.  Or if you’re not fond of covering up your precious iPhone, you can protect the screen with Screen Protector Steinheil Series or Screen Protector GLAS.t Premium Tempered Glass Series.  Upcoming cases include the iPhone 5 Leather Case illuzion Series, iPhone 5 Diary Type Case Valentinus and the iPhone 5 Case Neo Hybrid EX Vivid Series.

Huge opportunity for accessory makers

.

A lot of fans noticed that Apple didn’t unveil a new Lightning charging dock when they revealed the iPhone 5.  There are some people who prefer using a charging dock as it keeps their iPhone safe and it looks good, displaying their most prized possession.  So a lot of fans were upset that a new charging dock wasn’t unveiled at last week’s event.  One consumer even wrote to Apple regarding the matter and asked if a Lightning dock charger would be soon made available, to which Apple Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller replied, “We do not plan on making a dock for the iPhone 5. Most people who use docks use them with speaker or clock systems.”

What Apple’s announcement means is, there’s quite an opportunity for third-party accessory makers to make money out of Apple’s refusal to make Lightning docks.  Unfortunately for consumers, this would mean that they’d have to buy new stuff for the iPhone 5 which could possibly set them back a few hundred dollars.  So brace yourselves, new Lightning docks or Lightning accessories are coming.
