Yesterday Microsoft put its Surface tablet on center stage at its Windows 8 launch event, hoping the new device will compete with the likes of Apple and Google in the mobile computing market. With interest in traditional computers on the decline, the software giant is attempting to re-invent the Windows PC in a new format and directly challenge Apple’s all-mighty iPad. While the new tablet has generated much curiosity, so far it has not received rave reviews, much less positive ones, and users seem unconvinced. Here to discuss Microsoft’s latest creation is SiliconAngle Contributing Editor, John Casaretto, who joined Kristin Feledy in this morning’s NewsDesk segment.
