

Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom is planning to launch a new file-sharing and storage service in January. The new company, named Mega, promises the same services as its predecessor, along with a few new ones, plus better security. This could place Dotcom in a precarious position, as the Department of Justice has said if Dotcom forges ahead with these plans, it would be in violation of the terms of his bail, or possibly face new criminal charges.
