T-Mobile may soon sell iPhone

Of the top four network carriers in the US, T-Mobile is the only one not carrying Apple’s iPhone in stores.  Jim Alling, COO of T-Mobile USA, stated that, though they would love to carry the iPhone on their network, it’s not worth all the economic troubles.  Which means T-Mobile subscribers shouldn’t hope for an iPhone on their network soon.

But Merrill Lynch’s Scott Craig noted that there’s rising speculation of the possibility of T-Mobile announcing a partnership with Apple to carry the iPhone on their network soon.  The announcement is expected to take place during next week’s analysts’ day on December 6-7, 2012.  The notion isn’t absurd, especially with T-Mobile’s 4G LTE expansion, which is compatible with the iPhone.

Atari releases Pong for iOS to celebrate 40th anniversary

To celebrate 40 years of Pong, Atari’s classic arcade game, they released the first official Atari Pong app for iOS.  Pong World is free to download on iTunes, and Pong lovers can enjoy “a dazzling unique twist and colorful new look.”  Explore Pong World by defeating opponents while collecting all five paddle creatures: Shaggy, Chompers, Sir Bouncelot, Razzle and Gnop, all equipped with unique upgrades and powers.  You can also unlock four different locations, each with its own set of specialties such as the ability to summon a wall of energy to block your opponent’s ball, hinder your enemy’s vision and much more.

Barnes & Noble posts Q2 net income

Barnes & Noble posted their second quarter financial report yesterday, which showed that, though their Nook digital division posted a six percent increase or $160 million, they’re overall net income totalled to $2.2 million for the three months ended Oct. 27. That translates to a loss of four cents per share.  They also missed analyst expectations, reporting revenue of only $1.88 billion, as analysts pegged their revenue at $1.91 billion.  The company also reported a three percent decline $773 million in store revenue, but their college bookstores’ revenue rose less than 1 percent to $773 million.

Sony offers new PS Vita bundle

If you’re looking to purchase a PS Vita but missed all the great deals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, fret not, as Sony is offering a new deal on their handheld gaming console.  For $299.99 you get a PS Vita 3G Wi-Fi system, 1-year membership to PS Plus, a Unit 13 game voucher and a 4 GB Memory Card.  The bundles saves you $99, which is awesome as you already get the 3G WiFi version, which alone costs $300.  Though Unit 13 isn’t that awesome, it’s free, so why complain?  The new PS Vita bundle will be available next week.
