EMC Publishes “15 Minute Guide to Better Backup”

EMC has published a PDF report presenting its latest solutions for backup/recovery data. It starts by examining three pressures that are breaking traditional data backup systems: massive data growth, IT budget pressures, and virtualization and the cloud. Dell SecureWorks Introduces Cloud/Virtual Environment Security Services

Dell SecureWorks has announced a new Vulnerability Management Service (VMS) and a new Web Application Scanning (WAS) Service for the Cloud. These Cloud security systems are add-ons to Dell vCloud, Dell Cloud Dedicated Service, and VMware vCenter 5.0. Dell SecureWorks also offers its Global Threat Intelligence Service, providing expert analysis of millions of security data points related to new vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and new adversary activity. Yahoo! Schedules Earnings Call, Webcast

Yahoo! has announced that its fourth quarter and full FY2012 earnings conference call and live webcast is scheduled for January 28 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific/5:00 p.m. (17:00 hours) Eastern. ViaWest Strengthens Compliance Portfolio

Data center, Cloud computing, and managed service provider ViaWest has announced enhancement of its library of compliance and attestation reports. The additions to the reporting portfolio include a Service Organization Controls SOC 2, Type II report on the Security and Availability Trust Services Principles in addition to its SOC 1, Type II report in accordance with SSAE 16 and ISAE 3402, and its SOC 3 report on the Security and Availability Trust Services Principles. Also, in response to customer requirements, it has doubled the number of facilities covered by the Payment Card Industry Report on Compliance for Sections 9 and 12 (PCI) ROC. It also added a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) report for physical controls covering four of its datacenters. More 

WNS Schedules 3Q13 Results Call

Global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services provider WNS Holdings Ltd. has scheduled release of its third quarter 2013 financial and operating results for 6:00 a.m. Eastern on January 16. The National bank of Ras Al-Khaimah has announced successful implementation of the Infosys Finacle core banking system to better anticipate customer needs, improve customer experience, and accelerate the introduction of innovative products.
