HTC One Already Cloned Before Its Official Reveal

In less than an hour, the world would get to see what HTC’s next smartphone would look like.  But it looks like french blog site Nowhere Else beat HTC to the punch as it showed images of the HTC One, formerly referred to as the M7, in all its glory.

The HTC One is shown in black and white versions that appears to have the similar back design as the iPhone 5, though it seems to have matte finish.

The HTC One features a 4.7-inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 1.7GHz processor, 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling, uses a new camera sensor that produces Ultrapixels, and will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Based on the leaked image of the HTC One, it will have a hardware button for home and back, the Sense user interface was given an upgrade and appears to have live tiles, and of course, Beats audio is integrated to the device.

Another blow for HTC, aside from leaked images of One abundant in the Internet, it has already been cloned.  GooPhone is notorious for cloning or reproducing knock-offs of popular devices such as the iPhone 5, and the Galaxy SIII.

What’s alarming is that GooPhone is able to produce the knock-offs in a timely manner and in this case, produced a knock-off even before the original was announced.  The GooPhone One is said to feature Mediatek’s MT6589 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, will run Lewa OS, and will be  dual-SIM phone indicated by the two signal strength indicators.
