Dell Delivers Video Effects on Deadline for Jack the Giant Slayer
Award-winning visual effects (VFX) studio Soho VFX used Dell’s media and entertainment systems to deliver 214 visual effects shots on tight deadline without sacrificing quality for the March 1, 2013 opening of Jack the Giant Slayer fantasy-adventure film. Soho VFX used Dell Precision T3500 workstations, Dell PowerEdge blade servers, and Dell UltraSharp U2410 monitors to create detailed castle-siege scenes realistic environment replacement shots, dynamic characters, an action scenes with burning trees and intensive fire simulations. more
Microsoft Releases Next-Generation Office 365 for Business
Microsoft Corp. has announced worldwide availability of a major update of its Microsoft Office 365 services for business. The new version includes new features to meet the needs and budgets of small, medium, and large organizations including updates to Linc Online, Exchange Online, and SharePoint. Also, business users can now get Office applications on up to five devices delivered as an always up-to-date cloud service. More

Deloitte Earns the First Authority to Operate for Litigation Support Systems

Google Upgrades Cloud Accessibility on Chrome and Android
Google has announced a series of updates to Chrome and Android designed to make Cloud services more accessible to individuals who are either blind or have low vision. The Chrome OS now supports high-quality, text-to-speech voice (starting with U.S. English), and spoken feedback, screen magnification and high-contrast display are now available out-of-the-box on Chromebook and Chromebox. Gmail now has a consistent navigation interface to allow blind and low-vision users to navigate using keyboard commands. Braille support is now included in Android 4.1. Several other accessibility upgrades were also announced. More
