Google Global Impact Awards Hunt for U.K.’s Top Social Entrepreneurs

As the next step in its year-old Impact Awards, Google has announced its first Global Impact Challenge in the United Kingdom, inviting British nonprofits to submit proposals for using technology to transform lives. The four winners will each receive a £500,000 Google Impact Award, Chromebooks, and technical assistance from Google staff to help make their projects into realities. Salesforce Announces Four-for-One Stock Split

The board of directors of Salesforce.com has approved a four-for-one split of the company’s common stock, and its stockholders have approved a proportional increase in the number of authorized shares of salesforce.com common stock from 400 million to 1.6 billion. Each stockholder of record at the close of business on April 2, 2013, will receive three additional shares for each outstanding share held on the record data. The additional shares are expected to be distributed by the transfer agent on April 17, and trading will begin on a split-adjusted basis on April 18. More
