Cloud Service Brokerage Industry on Path to $100B – Jamcracker Provides a Peek

Cloud Services Brokerage (CSB) – it’s a term that hasn’t really seeped into the mainstream, yet.  As we’ll show, there is an ever-increasing necessity for this emerging service, so much that in a recent Gartner report, the predicted market for CSB will be $100 Billion, with CSB platforms and providers becoming the fastest growing segment in the overall cloud market. Let’s lay the groundwork – the simple fact is that many companies are moving to cloud-based services and that typically includes involvement of a number of cloud service providers. That’s where a CSB steps in, negotiating and managing relationships with these providers ahead of time, they provide value to the end customer, meaning streamlined operations all around.

CSB services aim to deliver this value proposition through a construct of architecture, business and IT operations specifically across cloud services. In doing so they are able to deliver the best of a number of different cloud services within a federated experience. That in turn allows for the most consistent experience within the prescribed framework. Whether your organization is looking for a pure cloud situation, hybrid solution, SaaS, app delivery, – pretty much any scenario, CSB delivers on the best of the cloud in the smoothest possible way for the enterprise.

In a briefing with KB “Chandra” Chandrasekhar, the CEO of leading CSB company Jamcracker, he discussed the direction of cloud computing and the role of CSB services within that. Jamcracker utilizes their proven Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN) platform to deliver customized and unified delivery of cloud services for the customer. The JSDN platform is a single point SaaS gateway that answers all the cloud requirements of the organization such as billing, administration, catalog management, authentication, and so on. Customers in turn are responding, and reporting significant organizational innovation and efficiencies throughout their organizations. Jamcracker’s has not only this technology to their advantage, but they also have years of experience with multiple cloud service providers covering many client scenarios. Business needs are better addressed with these kinds of relationships in place – questions get answered, things get done faster, it’s just that simple.

Chandrasekhar predicts how the need for these services is on the rise, and how this is the latest cloud focus in the industry for some time to come. Again, as the recent Gartner report points out, there is more need for such third-party management and aggregation of cloud services, a space where Jamcracker is at the forefront. While there are some in the industry that look at CSB’s as cloud arbitrage, or even simple reselling, the truth is there is much more built into not only the negotiation of services, but support, capability, and strategy, so much that this indeed appears to be an essential and growing wave of IT operations. It is likely that a percentage of IT operations are effectively running a CSB already, having run into the need through their cloud operations already. This ever increasingly important part of an organization’s cloud strategy is critical to cost-effectiveness, and swift operations. We expect to see much more from this market.
