KPMG Study Finds U.S. Companies Popular M&A Targets  For High-Growth Market Firms

U.S.-based organizations were the most popular targets for M&A activity involving emerging & high-growth market companies in 2H2012 according to the KPMG International’s latest High Growth Markets International Acquisition Tracker study. High-growth-to-developed (H2D) deal volumes appear to be stabilizing according to the semi-annual study, which tracks completed deals in which an acquirer took at least a 5 percent shareholding interest. The latest study find that emerging and high-growth market companies compeleted 42 acquisitions in the United States in 2H12, slightly down from the 50 deals in 1H12. More
